An account is required to create, own, or moderate a board

You will only be able to reset your password with the provided e-mail. Use an invalid address at your own risk.
While users with unverified e-mails may volunteer for boards, they may not create them
You can request a validation e-mail from your account settings page.
Sometimes these e-mails get lost. Admins can manually verify your account. Please mail the administration with your username from the address you want validated.
All board URIs must be unique, and must be all lowercase.
Not all boards are indexed, but all of them are public, so it's best to visit the board's address.
If the board does not exist, you are free to create it. If it does exist, you can check if it is abandoned. Abandoned boards are available for claim. E-mail an admin to request a board be transferred.
If the board does not exist, you are free to create it!

Enter the address of the board (for example, if you want to create "/test/", you would enter "test"
Supply a board name, generally the subject of the board (for example, "v" is named "Video Games") and a description.
A Bypass is a temporary identifier that gives you access to certain site functions.
Most importantly, you need a bypass to post.
A bypass will expire after a set number of hours or after making so many posts. The exact values may vary.
All bypasses require filling out a captcha.
Some boards may also require a captcha to make a post. As such, you may sometimes need to fill out two captchas before you can post.
Once you have a bypass, you won't need to fill one out again unless a board requires it or your bypass expired.
This is a system whereby you are required to generate a cryptographic hash before receiving your bypass.
Though similar in nature to coin miners, the system does not generate any "currency", and does not put much strain on your computer.
The required time to generate a bypass is determined by your computer's specs. Do not close the tab, refresh the page, etc or you will need to begin the process of getting a bypass again.
You will see a spike in CPU usage. This is normal, and it will end when the bypass is generated.
This system may be inconvenient, especially to users with lower end devices, but it is an effective method at preventing spam. We generally only activate it when the site is under attack. You will be compensated with a bypass that lasts much longer and a bigger post allotment.
To use a tripcode, add a # in your name. After the #, add the password for the tripcode.
The server will apply a hash to the password and display the hashed password.
To use a secure tripcode, add ## in your name and a password. A secure tripcode will generate a random text to be displayed that will only be used if your password matches.
If you wish to display your global or board role when posting, you can put #rs in your name, like a tripcode, case insensitive. This will prevent you from using a tripcode.
You can also enable an always use role signature rule in your account settings.
When posting you can use some tools that will enhance its text in HTML.
If you post a URL starting with either http or https, it will automatically be linked.
Example:

Adding > at the start of a line, will greentext the text until a newline.

If you write >> and then a number to a posting, it will create a link to this post in the board you are posting and add a tooltip with the post preview if you have javascript enabled.

If you write >>> and then add a board name between slashes, it will create a link to the board.

It is also possible to quote posts from another boards. Just add the posting number after the board name.
