>>321 As someone with a major ADHD obsession of sorting art by their creators, it kills me that so much good Ojamajo art originate from longdead oekaki boards. A long time ago, on the old /mahodou/, I believe there was a thread for finding old oekaki sites and posting their web archives. I think we might have a similar thread now, but the one on the original 8chan had some really good links. I regret not saving them ;(((

We have a cool thread for doujin games, but we also need one for official games. How accesible are they for those who can't read Japanese? Are there good emulators for the Sega Pico? How many are there in total? I didn't even know there's a rhythm game for the original Play Station. I find this super interesting. Is this really Nami Miyahara singing?

Felt a little nostalgic last Saturday and figured I'd give a whack at this, combining Ojamajo Doremi with Texts from Last Night, an idea I got from Texts from the Sea. http://www.textsfromlastnight.com/ If you want, join in. The site's still up with a lot of material.

Non-lewd doujin, unknown origin Anonymous Ojamajo 02/23/2022 (Wed) 16:33:16 No. 249 [Reply]
This is a very cute doujin that contains no inappropriate material. Just cute OCs and fun. It would be forgotten but I saved it years ago, and about three years ago I showed it to a kind and awesome anon who translated. Then I lost the translation until recently, so here it is. Please enjoy. Panel 1 "That's right. Yes, I'm fine. It's a short walk from the hotel. "It's fine, Giancarlo has a fever so it can't be helped, mama." Panel 2 "You're arriving in the afternoon the day after tommorow? Mhmm, I understand. Ok, bye." Panel 3 The Kyoto trip... I was looking forward to it... Panel 4

>>271 >I wonder how many other wholesome doujin are there There actually are a lot, but like you said there isn't a lot of interest in them, so they stay forever unscanned. It's only rare instances where a niche fanscanning group comes about to post nonsexual doujins, or like when everyone was obsessed with that Bikko manga, which turned out to not be as horribly messed up/gruesome as people thought it would be.
>>277 >>273 >>274 >>275 >>276 >>277 Do you know what this doujin is called, or where I can read the rest of it? If you did translate the Spanish version, it wouldn't be as accurate, but it'd be better than nothing in my opinion. Your choice though, obviously.

>>181 >>182 >>183 I apologize for bumping a dead thread, but I managed to find a copy of this CD on the Internet Archive. https://archive.org/details/minami-cd-66 It seemed to have come with some Spanish anime magazine. Going through its contents, it contains videos, music, and pictures/fanart related to Doremi, alongside some other shows. Interestingly though, it also contains a few Doremi doujin games, including some that I've never seen before. It might be worth checking those out if anyone's interested.

Anime Similar To Doremi Anonymous Ojamajo 06/01/2021 (Tue) 19:39:58 No. 82 [Reply]
In this thread, we try to fill the void in our hearts that Doremi and her four seasons of anime + OVAs couldn't fill. Personally I can't think of any shows that are similar to Doremi in terms of writing and just as likable characters, but Toei's adaptation of "Let's climb that mountain!" is somewhat similar visually. https://youtu.be/Utdwm6a3nkA Of course Crayon Kingdom is a lot closer to being similar to Doremi. It's a shame it'll probably never get a full English translation. ;__; https://youtu.be/DGTUexJvU28

Cosmic Baton Girl Comet-san looks to me like it could be similar to OD, but that may be just because the style looks similar.
>>127 Meteo-san and Comet-san are both lovely in design and characterization, but sadly their anime is kind of boring. My thoughts on the Doremi-clones (or as i've taken to calling them "alternative mahou shoujo") are as follows: Fun Fun Pharmacy as mentioned earlier is unmatched at capturing Doremi's whimsy and poignancy, made even more impressive by its short runtime; it's like bite-sized Doremi episodes before Doremi even existed, with more surreal themes and trippy direction. For Umakoshi character designs, top-tier absurdity, and a surprisingly heartfelt ending, see Marie and Gali. I'm probably the only person on Earth who didn't care for Cardcaptor Sakura. The cast, so-called themes, and plot didn't leave much of an impression on me, and the pacing and repetition could get mind-numbing. Yume no Crayon Oukoku, though I've only seen 4 episodes, doesn't seem worthy to be called Pharmacy's predecessor, let alone Doremi's. It isn't offensively bad and can be a little bit funny, but it doesn't seem to be interested in being anything more than a slow-paced but mindless kid's adventure anime on the same level as early Dragon Ball. Kasumin seems promising, but I'm waiting for subs. I'm interested in Fushigiboshi no Futagohime, though I've heard the main character is a Doremi rehash. Either way, always excited for more puni masterpieces.

>>194 It's Yoshihiko Umakoshi's style. God bless the man. When he's allowed to go all out like in Doremi, Kasumin, and Marie & Gali, it's my favorite anime style ever. Fun fact: He's a good friend of Junichi Hayama who did the character designs for the JoJo OVA.

Should this board embrace lewds? I mean, it would be more active, and the previous /mahodou/ was for adults.
(874.69 KB 677x680 3646353.PNG)

You can still discuss lewd on this board (keyword: discuss), if it relates to something specific, like a doujin manga/game. But general lewdposting belongs on the /delicious/ thread. If I was convinced lewd picture spamming would bring about activity, I wouldn't have made it a rule to keep it on /delicious/ in the first place.

Thoughts about Pop's tiny classmates? I think they're cute as can be, I wish they had their own episodes.
I think too many of them are the younger brothers and sisters of Doremi-tachi's classmates for it to be a coincidence. Very cute, though.

I spent some time digging around old Japanese webring-type fansites for Ojamajo Doremi. They seem like they were really nice places to be around at the time. People would register on some free hosting service and build up their little shrines to whatever they were into and share their fanart and their .midi music. You get the impression that everyone you'd run into when browsing around was a genuine fan who put his whole heart into it, even if the technical skill level wasn't so great. These sites tended to have いただき pages for fanarts received as gifts with a few dozen pictures listed. Those are a good way to find more sites. A lot of people were just as big fans of Fushigi Mahou Fan Fan Pharmacy as they were of Ojamajo Doremi. These pictures are from https://web.archive.org/web/20031227065945/http://www4.justnet.ne.jp/~yumichan/ After diving through sites like this for some time you get a sense of where to find content. Look for keywords like リンク (links) or CG (computer graphics) or いただき (received things) or BBS (bulletin board system). Shortly after nihon geocities died I made it a hobby of mine to do the classic method of "index of" [insert generic japanese nickname with a tilde" to find a bunch of doujin authors/net surfers old oekaki art and galleries. I gave up after a bit but this thread reminded me of those types of pages so I tried it tonight. I was disappointed to find that all of the old personal web pages are seemingly memory holed. It's not shocking at all that they're gone, but if they were around a couple of years ago with decades of inactivity under their belt, why aren't they up now?
