I want to get into it since I'm falling out of FFXI Eden, but some untranslated text early game put me off from it.
My favorite demons are Beelzebub and Satan. I have figures of both to repel succubi that threaten me on my path to wizardry. Other favorite demons would be Barong, Seth, Alice, and Quetzalcoatl. In terms of games, I'm basically a Nocturne baby. I also played through 4, part of 4A, Devil Survivor 1, Persona 3 FES, Persona 4 the Golden, and Persona 5 (vanilla) plus some irrelevant Persona spin-offs. I also played the start of the Persona 1 PSP remake, but stopped because I hated the combat. I decided not to give Atlus my business for Persona 5R because they cucked to the sodomites. If we count Persona games, my favorite spin-off is P3 FES. If we don't, it's Devil Survivor 1.

Pretty much all the gameplay basics have been translated to English by now. Some of the more advanced stuff still needs work. Honestly, the language barrier didn't obstruct the gameplay too much in the first place, but now you should have little to no trouble at all. Personally, I've done more than enough grinding lately. At this point I'm mostly just waiting for the next Fortune Card deck(s) to drop.

A lot of the stuff in this game is cryptic, so even without the language barrier you'd still need to read the wiki or talk to players who have read the wiki. >Levelling in ReImagine is like one of the fastest levelling I've ever done in any MMO. That's because the endgame advanced far beyond levels. But yeah, it's super convenient for new players (and old players starting over). You can gain access to all the basic dungeons and unlock Wildcat mode a lot faster thanks to that.

If you want to be a tank go close-range. Magic can be both support and bust out some major damage. Thing is I never really found support from a player all that needed when your demons can cast support skills. So if you want pure big dick damage then go magic. Also I do remember most of the clan mates picked long-range. A few were magic. And I was probably the only close-range.

>>354463 I never actually got into the crafting myself but from what I remember it's better to make alts for synthesizing and crafting so you can spend all your expertise for your damage class rather than spending some on synthesizing and crafting. This is what some clan mates did themselves. The economy of the game in terms of in-game currency is pretty good. Making macca (in-game currency) becomes fairly easy the higher level you get. There's player vendors that you can basically use to price check items in case you get the items and you want to sell them. Even having your own vendor is just a small fee. The important currency is actually COMP points, which is called CP in the game. Like you can use that for fortune cards, item vouchers, a way to fast travel, and some other important stuff. You can get those from dungeon runs. But also no there's no real money trading as far as I know, it's a private server of an old game.

First of all, Lucifer's role is somewhat misinterpreted. I can't remember it quite well myself what with all the names of fallen angels and devils there are, but I am pretty sure Lucifer was the one that revolted against God in the Book of Giants and was cast out/slain by God/His archangels. Satan was the one that tried to 'tempt' Jesus for 40 days, and many people definitely misinterpret who Satan is. Satan is quite literally the devil's advocate. He doesn't work against God, nor is he an enemy of God whom God cannot control. He was sent to Earth specifically by God, his 'commander' if you will, to try and tempt Jesus and test his faith. As we all know, Jesus did not falter. If he did, Satan wouldn't have joined with him and fought against God, though it's hardly even worth debating since Jesus and God are aspects of the Holy Trinity and one couldn't turn against the other since they may be different people but are still essentially the same 'being'. It's a confusing part I can't really explain well, try a true theologian if you want a better understanding. Plus, Jesus already appears in an SMT game, though it is technically a spinoff. Ever played Persona 3? The story in fact follows along the idea of an anti-christ and true christ story, with the anti-christ pretending to be the messiah, only for the true messiah to appear in the end and slay the faker.

The reason for Crawling Chaos Nyarlathotep being Law-aligned is most likely the same as with Satan (not to be confused with Lucifer). In some interpretations, Satan the Deceiver works undercover for God. He tempts people to sin to test their faith. Nyarlathotep has a similar role in Lovecraft's lore. He's chaotic on the surface, but he serves his father the same way Satan serves YHVH.

Other than that there's not much about the game we know. I'm as cautious as anyone after DSJ and 4A but so far the game has been looking quite good IMO. Doi's designs have greatly improved, and the gameplay looks unfucked from 4A what with the return to Nocturne's stat system. The Magatsuhi meter looks interesting too. The only gameplay concerns I have are regarding buffs not lasting forever and all moves costing MP, but SJ made the latter work so who knows. I do agree on it being a shame that the series will be stuck with some of the awful DSJ and 4A designs for the near future. I like Inanna's final design (albeit far less than her second concept art) and Anahita's but it leaves a foul taste in my mouth that Demeter's DSJ design returned. The fact that there's a good chance of Zeus' awful tokusatsu Monokuma design returning is concerning too.

Am I the only one who hates how a majority of demons now are like toku characters, like there obviously ones who aren't but it feels like the vast majority you see would fit in more with a toku show in general then anything to do with mythology. Zeus I think is the one that really pushes it because in a persona spin off on the 3DS we get this really unique design with multiple forms but for mainline he's just another guy in a toku suit from the new artist.

I hope Ouyamatsumi isn't the only big demon you see walking around in the field. You would think Yamata=no-Orochi would be big but they're not from the video showcase.
