Anyone gave this a shot? Seems like isometric system shock meets fallout 2 in the 70s. magnet:?xt=urn:btih:R5BH532HRZW5NQLETHRIKKKBVDU25CMN&dn=Encased.A.Sci.Fi.Post.Apocalyptic.RPG-CODEX&xl=13641718449
>>414293 >no webm >not a single gameplay shot >no other details aside from "it's fallout with guns gauise!" idiocy stop sucking cocks OP and actually put some effort on the thread for fucks sake.

>>414307 At least he posted a link for it. Here is some information after I got curious enough to look it up myself. <Developer: Dark Crystal Games <Publisher: Prime Matter >A tactical sci-fi RPG set in an alternative 1970's, where an enormous and inexplicable artifact –the Dome– is discovered in a remote desert. Fight enemies, explore the anomalous wasteland, level up your character, join one of the forces in the ruined world
>>414307 I just got the fucking game myself. And I did give out a working magnet. Seems pretty interesting so far. Tons of non-combat skill checks, rather full fleshed perk and feat system.
The visuals, dialogue screen and layout screams Atom RPG. I tried to like that game but Commie Russian imitation Fallout had zero charm compared to the real thing and you can't escape from combat in dungeon instances. Judging from the aesthetic alone, I'm staying away from this game. I enjoyed being a master of time in turn-based Fallout plus the writing has lighter funny moments in it which this game appears to lack. Maybe if I didn't play Atom, I would give this game a chance.
Combat is too similar to nuXcom. Writing is too American, and just not very good overall. Characters especially are very boring. Almost all of them have nothing going for them beside their department. If you see a white, you know he's going to be another out-of-touch nerd, oranges are always irrideemable filth, and silvers incompetent nepotistic narcissists.
>>414347 >no pants and jackets <model still has pant and jacket
>>414347 Neanderthals were pale
>>414519 >Combat is too similar to nuXcom. No it's not, retard. No cover, actual AP and AP modifiers. Skills cost fatigue. There's literally zero in common with nucom. It's fallout with a little spice. Very simple combat system. Again, retarded. At least play the fucking game for ten minutes before you start being a nigger. The wings are flavor at best. Some oranges are ok, some whites are down to earth, etc. What this game suffers from is quality degradation after the first half. They just kinda turned it in for the most part. Still pretty decent.
When I started the game, the default character was a nigress with a european name. I decided to play anyway, made a white male. I decided to play as a heavy weapons soldier. The first weapon I got was a machine gun, which surprised me. It was also a very decent gun even, so I was quite happy. Way to many memes and refrences for my taste, though the first stop being the Roadside Picnic was cute. Don't think I'll be able to romance anyone, though, as I have only 1 charisma. You can open locked doors by kicking them in, no need for a lockpick. Of course, the lock is broken in the process. Looking forward to getting a car to make travels easier. Need to buy a new gun, I'm running out of handgun bullets for my machine gun. Made friends with a buddisth ex-criminal, which I found funny. Crump's alright, he punches while I shoot. Shame he can't attack diagonally.
>>414549 Yes, and we wuz kangs >>414519 Your thieving teacher is a blue, one of the first few whites is a trembling junkie. One of the first blacks is a hippie that teaches you about non lethal weapons. Combat is fallout 2 with perk abilities. That's in the first 10 minutes. Have you even tried the game?
>>414868 Not to start that discussion but there's more to race than just skin color

>>414952 >there's more to race than just skin color True. A few criminals have been found to be lighter skinned negroes.
Getting your hands on Ursula is a great feeling. Up until the second chapter, if you're a complete cleptomaniac like me, or playing on higher difficulties, you were always struggeling with encumberance. Not any more, baby, and her name is Ursula! My only complaint is the lack of a servo-shell storage, but that's no problem when I found the best shell in the game by chance. +5 muscle, lol.
>>414293 >>414332 looks more like fallout 2 meets XCOM, or maybe like Shadowrun Returns
>>416504 It plays as neither of those and not even remotely. On the other hand it almost straight up lifts the entire combat and world map from FO and adds some bits here and there. SS is mostly due to the world building and how they handle psionics.
>>416511 >It plays as neither of those and not even remotely. how when that dialogue and combat look almost exactly like SR Returns

>>416537 For one there's no cover a'lla nucom. Your special attacks are identical as in fallout 2, as in several inherit per weapon except you also can get some more with skill advancements. So like unarmed in FO2 but with all weapons. This game also allows for some unbelievable cheese with attacking from stealth. As in it's not one shot and initiate combat, it's shoot until your "detection meter" runs out. So, in theory, with high enough thievery, weapon with range long enough and opponent blind enough you can plink away for ages before he even realizes where you're at. SR is mission hub and instances; here you're given free roam and a world map from the get-go. SR has a strong, initially obvious narrative and here you're pointed in a direction and told to fuck off/left to your own devices. SR let's you use your background for alternative resolution of some encounters and occasionally for bonus loot, here you can use skills for the point of using skills. Mooching cigarettes, booze, drugs; talking about weather, making people feel like shit just because you can etc. I'm not saying ones better than the other just different beasts. While SR is a more polished, streamlined experience here it's that clunky, slower gothic or fallout approach to world building and exposition.
>>416555 >wouldclimb.jpg God damn you anon it's been years since I've thought of Eiger.
(492.27 KB 517x515 1385974286312.png)

>>416555 >hot troll That's now how I remember Eiger anon. I did, however, remember to check these trips.
>70s >tranny "body type" instead of male/female It's shit.
>>416763 >there are only two body types in game >male and female
>>416847 Which in this is completely seperate from making your character male or female.
>>416555 well thanks for explaining anon but don't say it's "not even remotely" like those again
(472.45 KB 850x1206 1459807233971.png)

>>416896 Well, it's definitely not like nucom which was the original retarded post.
