So there's like a first look at the new Harvey Birdman spin-off focusing on Birdgirl, I can't make much out of it other than how painfully unfunny it is, almost as if it was written by women. And clearly everyone is ugly as sin. https://yewtu.be/watch?v=vbZzDOgwdfg

>>11356 >Stan Lee >X-man and Hulk >Not Spiderman
>>11402 >How come the art is way better in the pulp sci-fi part? It's a very late response, but it's most likely because it was a change of pace compared to the rest of the comic, and maybe she likes scifi. Fresh ideas can breathe life into artists, as can things that appeal to their interests. Up until that point the Serenity's artist was drawing people talking at school, home, and a pizza place. This can get old quickly. >I know the art is deviant-art tier but it actually starts looking good in the later parts. It's due to practice drawing the comic and likely figuring out better workflow over time. Drawing a multi page comic, even a simple one, is a lot of work. You have to plan out and simplify certain things to ensure good working pace, or you will end up burned out mess like Miura. In Serenity you can see a beginner artist thrown into a deep water and slowly learning and growing as the series progresses.

>>24173 >>24172 Honestly anon despite everything I actually agree with pretty much everything you said. I was never a big fan of JLU as a whole though I do enjoy it, don't get me wrong. I just didn't enjoy it as much as the original JLA. JLU had a few good moments but overalll kind of sucked. One thing you didn't mention that I didn't like was that the overall dynamic between the original 7 was gone which was something I sorely missed from JLU. Another thing I missed was Hawkgirl trying to dive macefirst into something only to get immediately fucked up nearly once per episode which made me laugh every time.

>>24794 >krypton have aliens which look exactly like humans Remember that in the DC universe capital G God is explicitly real, to the point a direct agent of His was a public asset of the allies in WW2. It's actually really easy to explain why aliens all look human: Most intelligent life was created by God in His image.
>>24813 >Krypton also has niggers. In a planet that's supposed to be a futuristic paradise, that is much more unrealistic than dogs. Are you implying that 13% of Krypton's population caused 100% of the planet's core to go into a nuclear fissile explosion?

Seeing how RWBY is getting an adaption, the number of Japanese fanart for Adventure Time is still going along with some indie comics getting a lot of art and that one Nick fighting game briefly topping becoming a decent seller in Japan. How rare are westaboos nowadays?

The page flip idea isn't bad, it just looks weird without the accompanying text. The logos before and after are simpler and more memorable. Whoever approved the 2012 logo clearly didn't give a shit about design clarity or the company's heritage.

No stream today. Stream cancelled. I'm cancelled. You're cancelled. April Fools! Sorry kiddo, you're stuck with us. Choose one of the following movies for your viewing pleasure/displeasure: - The Nut Job - The Good Dinosaur - The Gumby Movie OR You can choose the Ted Box or the Yaki Box. Ted Box totally smells like the world's most caring, loving, devoted husband, whose wife is totally just a little fucking off her rocker and she needs help before she kills everyone.

Next movie of the night is from the Ted Box, and it's Gaslight! This 1944 classic is what defined the concept of lying so insistently to another person's face that they start to question their sanity. Our movie stars a man whose entire modus operandi is lying horribly to his wife, and how her world starts to fall apart as she thinks she's going insane.
Change of plans - we're watching the 2nd part of our anime trash "Madonna" first, and we'll proceed to "Gaslight" afterwards

>>24476 Never watched them. Instead of charming I should say that people saw glimmer's of the show it could have been and stuck around because they liked the fight cherogrpahy and the music. I lot of people also liked the story told in the lyrics in the music. A lot of people were pleasantly surprised the show got darker as they thought the shit in the songs would start coming into play, little did they know how bad things would truly get.

are kids of today even watching this slop?
>>24394 No. Streaming services don't have much for cartoons and have been relying on the appeal of gaming and anime. If they're watching Looney Tunes, it's usually the older, better content that could be (or maybe are already) in the public domain.
>>24404 With how fairly faithful those new Looney Tunes cartoons on hbo max came out, I'm surprised they decided to drop the more classical style for something far worse.

>>21686 >pastafag so translation is relative easy to do it. I would have a request, and if possible, might even offer some financial payment. I wanted to re-watch the Sandokan cartoon(watched it, when I was a small boy, in my country's dub), found both the english and the italian dub on Youtube, however the english one is horrendous. How hard would it be to create the srt files for the first two seasons of the cartoon? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-gZpUxbyzM&list=PL1dsBDddXnm2SOSqWyUzdneENLML9tcUp I also think there is some historical importance of sharing the original dub, as opposed to the english one, especially since, from what I know, Italians don't have all that many action cartoons.

>>21368 English subtitles for the live action film are finally out. I gave it a watch and it was entertaining enough, but I am a sucker for heist stories, Lupin, Fantomas, and anything related. The story is a bit basic, but competent enough. Biggest problem is that characters need to make stupid decisions for plot to happen. Diabolik, for example, is pretty sloppy. He has a wife, leaves fingerprints everywhere, his lair is not very well disguised. Batman's setup is much better thought out than Diabolik's. There are some contrived things, like ramp hidden in the road at the very beginning of the film. Putting that thing in there unnoticed would have been difficult, and it would have been discovered during road maintenance work.I also did not not like how quick Diabolik and Eva Kant were to trust each other. Things get silly at points, like the court room scene, but I assume the comedy works much better in Italian. However, the heist at the end is pretty neat, even if it could be orchestrated more efficiently. All expected elements of the genre are there and it manages to avoid some of the annoying cliches. The film had a decent budget and was pretty to look at. Special effects are minimal but look good, there are practical stunts, and there are no attempts at cutting corners and hiding this using shaky cam and jarring, rapid cuts like Marvel films are prone to do. There is the knife throw, but that looks to me more like a stylistic choice to old pulp and 60s crime serials. They used split screen quite a bit, but not in any interesting way. Actors do a good job in my opinion, but not knowing the original language makes it difficult to tell. Diabolik had decent budget. Special effects are minimal but look good, there are practical stunts, and there are no attempts at cutting corners and hiding this using shaky cam and rapid cuts like Marvel films are prone to do. They used split screen quite a bit, but not in any interesting way.
