It's Serbian fallout. One of the best games I've played in terms of sheer content. The main problem is that's it's just a really big time sync, it can take hours to make any sort of real progress but at the end you're basically a god.

I have to say I really like the new Mind Cracker dungeon. It's very pretty and very distinct in terms of gameplay. Very tense and very deadly, but very much doable if you prepare for it. It's mercifully short at least, so its gimmick doesn't overstay its welcome. But I still want to see some psi-crawlers in Infusion.

If NV has any human feeling motivation between it it's your own greed for power and wanting to get revenge. I can get behind that. Skyrim had the same idea but completely sidetracked in favor of different arcs that similarly got sidetracked in favor of yet more arcs. Crying shame but that way you only end up with the shallow shit it is.

Anyone else played/playing this game? I just started it and so far it's excellent, reviews on Steam are at overwhelmingly positive right now. It's a highly autistic recreation of classic survival horror, so basically classic Resident Evil with tits, it looks great and plays even better if you're an oldfag survival horror autist. So far the difficulty seems a bit on the tough side, the game seems stingy on the save and healing items, but generous on ammo if you explore properly. The one major puzzle I've found in my little time playing has been deceptively clever, it seems super dumb at first but the solutions I tried weren't working until I noticed more little details about it, so I'm expecting good shit further in the game when it comes to puzzles. Overall I'm pretty impressed with it, what do you guys think about it?

Burst limit feels like a clear spot the Budokai series died in. Like infinite world came out after and gameplay wise was the clear best in the series but it was on a last gen system and was built off of B3 so it felt like legacy support more to everyone despite gameplay quality and DB Evolution for PSP is a time bomb for being found as a meme game that's actually way more solid then it should by all means be. But Burst Limit was the next gen game, but it was half the framerate of the older games, reduced the roster, had an abhorrent skit gimmick, AKAIK no balance patches despite Vegeta raping the entire cast with Big Bang Attack cancels giving him so much more easy access to TOD level damage, a lot of complaining about Piccolo as well but looking into old forum discussion may imply this isn't as bad at a higher level. But what I want to get at is, if burst limit was instead a PS3/360 HD Infinite world with online, would the series have stayed alive possibly? Being a directly improved game from the previous B3 with the newer console feature of online play almost certainly would have reviewed more favourably, would it keep the series alive any longer to survive to the point the series potential for being a genuinely great fighting game and not just an licensed anime one? I'd want to think so since also in 2008 they made SF4 and then in 2010 made SSF4 which was itself a mega drastic improvement on the game. Would anyone think this experience working on titles like that have possibly lead to a potential one more go finally hitting that perfect spot for making a genuinely good and competitive Budokai Style DBZ game? The games are a pile of Kuso I enjoy and like to pick up every so often so wanted to just drop a thread like this to talk about it.

Went through old sales listings for Nintendo by year. It's easy to forget how slow a start the NES had. The thing's US debut came in 1985 (I don't have listings for that year though), but most of the games everyone remembers beyond a cameo only came out in 1987+, which literally had more games that the previous two years combined. Any less talked about good games on the platform that aren't just more "character action" (platformers) from an era full of them? It's easy to get the perception the NES's entire library was side scrollers, looping arcade style titles, puzzles, sports, racing, autoscroller shooters, the odd jRPG (mainly Final Fantasy+Dragon Quest which came out fairly late in the west) plus whatever one calls the cryptic world exploration game Metroid+Zelda+Zelda 2+Castlevania 2 fall into. Examples of Strategy (Nobunaga's Ambition and the Nippon only Fire Emblem + Nintendo Wars), Stealth (the bad port of Metal Gear), and Adventure (Shadowgate etc.) are pretty rare.

When porting Castlevania 3, they replaced the VRC6 with a Nintendo-made MMC5 because the game couldn't really run off of a stock NES. Mario 2 and 3 also used mappers, the MMC3 specifically. The only inbuilt audio chip that was lost from Famicom to NES was the FDS, the configurable wave-table sound channel that was present on the Famicom Disk System. You'll notice that many first party games whose audio changed from Famicom to NES (Zelda 1 and 2, Metroid, Kid Icarus) were all Famicom Disk System games that had battery backups in the cartridge in the west.

What's something you've noticed that immediately tips you off on how good or bad a game server is as soon as you join? One thing that tells me "this server is complete dogshit" is as follows: >Rule #: No admin disrespect >Rule #: admins have final word >Rule #: don't argue with admins Every time I see this, I instantly know that it's being ran by turboniggers that never experienced banter, or have never been told no or been criticized before. They'll make a retarded decision or say something dumb or enforce a rule so hard that it looks obsessive, and if anyone has anything to say about it, it all turns into the admins throwing a hissy fit while accusing aforementioned user of doing the same, and eventually getting rid of whoever is annoying them with a ban or mute. You can't forget the suckups who always take the admin's side, too. On the contrary, something that tells me "hey this server is pretty decent": <server doesn't run the same fucking gimmick/famous/tiny meme maps over and over <there's an actual fucking map rotation and everything is kept mostly vanilla besides an unobtrusive plugin here and there <there's actually active voice chat instead of an entire lobby of silent shitscord niggers It's rare to find a game server nowadays that has a decent map rotation AND has active voice chat. When I do on those rare occasions though, it's usually a great time.

They entrench themselves in their desired niche and never change. The things you described are just the particular niches that TF2 players still enjoy, and it is actually a greater variety than most multiplayer games that are over a decade old. UT2K4's current server roster for example has either bog-standard FFA, goofy race maps with barely any players who have all played all the maps a thousand times, or invasion RPG garbage.

It seems universally agreed upon this game was/is mess, albeit a financially successful one. What I find more interesting is how, unlike The Witcher 3, nobody is really talking about this anymore only a few months after release. It's still gone. They never re-added it. There are videos with millions of views cataloguing every cut feature, empty promise and outright lie from 2012 up to release. Speaking of which, did you know the game didn't start development until late 2016? Yes, they had four years to try and make all of that. This comes with the other realisation that there was no game before then, everything from 2012 to mid 2016 didn't exist. All that existed was concept art and a rough game idea, said ideas ended up being totally scrapped when development started anyway. That's why the final game looks nothing like the famous CGI trailer. The game was recently nominated at two separate award shows for a total of seven different categories, where it won exactly 0 awards. It's so rare to see this kind of thing happen to such a big project . What do you anons think? What's the future of this game and CDPR in general?
